Getting ready in the morning doesn’t have to be complicated or take 30 minutes, if you find products you love that work for you! I wanted to run through everything I use in my personal routine- but let me know if you need help finding clean skincare or makeup that performs like conventional or better. You can watch the video below for the whole routine! (sped up so your patience isn’t tested ๐
I start with my simple skincare routine in the morning by using a targeted cleanser like the Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser. I like using this in the AM because it foams up easily, smells citrusy and fresh, has jojoba beads to gently exfoliate and really leave me with a clean canvas if I am wearing makeup or not!
Second, I use the Countertime Mineral Boost Essence(sometimes I do skip this step if I am in a super rush) but it is like a SPA IN A BOTTLE. Smells like the perfect floral light scent, and instead of stripping your skin like some toners do, it really replenishes any moisture you have lost and balances your PH. It is liquid, and just takes a few shakes and it dries pretty quick.
Third, I finish with my Countertime Soft Cream– which is my daytime moisturizer. The Countertime line from Beautycounter uses plant based retinol-like ingredients called Bakuchiol and swiss alpine rose- to get the same results as conventional retinol without the potential harmful side effects. You can also use this line while pregnant or nursing, which is so nice! The Soft Cream is lightweight but hydrating and perfect under makeup!

Next up: MAKEUP!
No matter if I am wearing a full face of makeup or not, I ALWAYS start with sunscreen! THis is the best aging prevention you can do for your skin! I use the Dew Skin Tinted SPF 20 from Beautycounter in shade 3. Its sheer coverage that evens your skintone and uses black currant, peony flower root extract, and vitamin C to enhance skin brightness and sodium hyaluronate to promote firmer, smoother-looking skin. If I am needing more coverage, I use the Tint Skin Foundation, which is a medium coverage foundation. I wear Sand in the Tint Skin. You can use this chart below to find your shade, or reach out and I can tell you your shade by looking at a few pictures in natural light.

Next up, Concealer! THIS IS LIFE, ladies. This one product will make me feel awake instantly. For under my eyes, its my favorite concealer I have tried because its not super thick and cakey. Its very, very smooth and buildable. I use shade Light.

For any blemishes, I love the Fit Glow Concealer– its a much different consistency than Beautycounter and it works for those pesky breakouts really well. I don’t love using it under my eyes though- just my preference. It is a true full coverage concealer and I use shade C3 to match my foundation since I am using only on my face. I would go a shade lighter for my eyes.
Next is BLUSH! My 2 favorite blushes are the Caramel Cream Blush– a warm dewy pinch of color that you can use on your eyes and lips too. Its perfect for on the go, because you don’t even need a brush if you don’t have one. My second favorite, is the Nectar Powder Blush(NARS orgasm dupe if you are familar). Its the perfect peachy pinky and literally looks good on EVERYONE. Its so universally flattering and my best selling powder blush by far! Beautycounter powders are triple milled and really long wearing, which I love.
Bronzer and Highlighter is next , if I want a more polishes makeup look. I use the Bronzer in Dune and the Highlighter in Topaz. I don’t do this every single day, but they truly do make a difference.
Next up is BROWS. I prefer the gel, because I have a good bit of hair to work with. If you have less and need more filling in- the Pencil could be a good option for you. Another great option is a pomade, I like this one from Plume!I wear the Beautycounter Brow Gel in Dark.

After Brows, its Eyeshadow. Since I am a consultant with Beautycounter, I have all their palettes….so I am a little spoiled! My best sellers are the Classic and Romantic Palettes though. Again, the powders are triple milled and also third party tested for 10 different heavy metals- which is HUGE! Heavy metals can really wreak havoc on your immune system so do your research on the powders you are using every day.
Classic Statement Romantic
Next, is Primer and Mascara for your lashes! Ya’ll, I have tried ALOT of safer mascaras! I think its such a personal thing though. I have friends and clients that love and use the Beautycounter Volumizing Mascara. Honest Beauty makes a fabulous option on a budget too! You can snag it from Target or Amazon, and it has a primer on one end too. Currently I am loving the Tarte Lash Primer and Lily Lolo Big Lash Mascara. I get the Lily Lolo Mascara, from my friend Kate’s clean beauty online store here! I get the most drama and long wear from using them together. I also love that the Lily Lolo is buildable and a more “wet” formula that you can really layer as much as you want.

Last is choosing your lippie! I am more of a gloss girl, and love the Beautycounter glosses because they arent sticky or goopy and I love the moisture! My favorite shades are Bare Shimmer, Fig, and Dahlia or Peony in the summer. When I want longer wear, or I am going to an event or dinner- I wear the Color Intense Lipstick and it will last! My favorite shades are Backstage for a neutral, or Little Black Dress for a berry pop of color!

And that’s it! It takes me less than 8 minutes for all of that! You shouldn’t have to sacrifice performance for your health- so reach out if I can help you make some safer swaps in your own routine! Every safer swap you make, lessens your toxic load. Small changes add up!
