OK, y’all. I am certainly no makeup artist so a quick routine that gets me out the door and leaves me looking put-together is what I am ALL about!
I know so many of you feel the same way so I’m sharing my look with you today using Beautycounter’s "Flawless in 5" bundle of products. I love this set because it’s EASY. So simple that someone with no makeup experience can do it! I even did a demo on my Instagram with my 8-year-old daughter, and SHE can do it (check out my highlights if you missed it–she’s a riot!)
The other reason I love it is its affordable because the products last so long! They are high-performing and made with safer ingredients (read: no hormone disruptors!) but they also just LAST.
Typically, my clients re-order their Tint Skin foundation about every six months. Now of course, this is different for everyone depending on how often you are using it. My mom, for example, only re-orders her Tint Skin once a year because she only wears it about three times a week.
Mascara is really the only thing out of this entire bundle that you would need to re-order after three months.
*Read HERE on why you need to replace your mascara every three months, no matter what.
So first things first. I start every day with my choice of daily moisturizer. Listen up! Even if you have oily skin, you still need a moisturizer! For dry/normal skin, I would recommend something like Beautycounter’s Countermatch Adaptive Moisturizer for daytime. It adapts to your skin throughout the day, and keeps you in that perfect moisture zone (no oily or cakey patches). It also works perfectly under makeup because its not thick or greasy and dries matte.
For oily skin, the Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream may be your perfect fit! For days that I know I will be outside a lot, especially in the summer months when I am at the beach and pool for long stretches, I really love the Dew Skin Tinted Spf 20. I wear shade No. 3 in Dew Skin, but it’s very sheer so I can really wear shade 2 or 3.
Now onto the fun part…
What I wear:
Tint Skin //Sand
Concealer Pen // Light
Blush // Nectar
Brow s// Medium Pencil or Medium Gel (I can wear Dark too)
Mascara //Volumizing
Lip Gloss // Bare Shimmer
Now let’s break it down! Here’s what’s included in the Flawless in 5 bundle. Each product is customizable–you pick whatever shade you prefer.
I start with Tint Skin and use the Retractable Foundation Brush to apply, but you can use your hands if you don’t have anything else. Using a brush or a beauty blender will make your product last longer and apply more evenly.
Buildable and natural-looking, it leaves you in control of the coverage: For light coverage, apply with the Retractable Foundation Brush; for medium coverage, apply with theFlat Complexion Brush or a beauty blender sponge. It also includes sodium hyaluronate, a natural moisture magnet, to promote smoother-looking skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. WIN! Best of all, I can’t feel it on!
Ok ladies, if you haven’t tried our concealer pen….you are MISSING OUT! This is probably one of my favorite makeup products in my arsenal! ha! Even on "no makeup" days, I can throw on concealer and feel more awake and alive! Dark circles, redness, blemishes….we all have them, but this concealer doesn’t cake and goes on so smooth. I wear shade Light year round.
Beautycounter reformulated all their pressed powders into longer-wearing, highly pigmented formulas that are SO good, y’all. I have sold so much of this new blush in Nectar, I cannot even tell you. If you ever loved the NARS "orgasm" blush, this is a safer dupe! Another favorite is Date and Guava.
**Did you know Beautycounter third-party tests their powders for 12 different heavy metals? I don’t know of another company that does this. Heavy metals can be contaminants of mineral and powder makeup, and even though "mineral" makeup is so popular, research the brand that you use. Heavy metals, even in small amounts, can build up in your system, and wreak havoc.

Brow Pencil or Brow Gel (NEW!)
SO excited about this one! You can now choose if you want to get a Brow Gel or Brow Pencil in your Flawless in 5 makeup bundle.
I can wear either Medium or Dark in the Brow Gel, and I wear Medium in the Brow Pencil. The pencil is going to fill in, if you have a more sparse brow. Some people choose to use both the pencil to fill in, and then the gel to tame unruly hairs and keep them in place all day. The gel comes in Light, Medium, and Dark and also a Clear shade. I have really enjoyed the ease of throwing on the gel alone; it looks really natural and keeps my brows intact all day long! If you have never used a brow product, I HIGHLY recommend trying it! It really frames your face and gives you a put-together look.
Volumizing or Lengthening Mascara
Most days, I prefer using the Volumizing. It really depends on your lash type, though. I use the Honest Beauty Lash Primer before my mascara, and it really gives it added thickness as well! (The brush on the Honest mascara isn’t my favorite, but in a pinch that mascara does a great job, and it’s super affordable too!) I really prefer the Honest primer along with the Beautycounter Volumizing Mascara (also reformulated, so try it again if you tried it before and didn’t like it!) If you just like a TON of length, the Lengthening may be the perfect fit for you.
Our lip glosses are best sellers for a reason. My friends who are product junkies and lip gloss snobs even SWEAR by our glosses. They actually moisturize, instead of leaving your lips dry. They aren’t sticky or goopy and we have SO many gorgeous shades now to choose from! I prefer a nude-ish lip most days, so my number one go-to is Bare Shimmer. Some other best selling shades are Rosewood, Dahlia, Fig, and Peony.
That’s it! Six products for $150!
That is such a great value if you are looking to clean sweep your makeup bag. If you are still using that old makeup from your college days….IT’S TIME FOR A REFRESH, GIRLFRIEND! ๐
Here is a video demonstrating the Flawless in 5 from Chief Artistic Director Christy Coleman. She is a celebrity makeup artist, and the brains behind all of our gorgeous color cosmetics at Beautycounter.
Below is a helpful Color Shade Chart for Beautycounter’s face makeup that may help you, but never hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. For reference I am in the "Light" Category. I wear Tint Skin in Sand, Dew Skin in 2 or 3, and Concealer in Light.
I hope this was helpful. Most of us don’t have time for a 20-minute makeup routine, but this can get you put-together and out the door in–wait for it–five minutes!
xoxo
